Well I know we’re talking tomorrow and I’ll talk to you about my idea then, but I still wanted to post something tonight…so I thought I could write about ideas for what we should read together or separately. I had mentioned that we should maybe each read separate books that would help us individually, and I still think this is a good idea. That way it will be less about us reading together, but more about us sharing how we’re being moved through the word to come closer to God. So…this will be my post about what books I think might help encourage me.

I think Ruth would be a good one. She was a stranger in a foreign land dealing with ridicule and loneliness. I also think I want to read Acts. I’ve been thinking that I should read that one for a while now. Also, Nehemiah is a good (albeit long and not very varied) book. He dealt with a lot and overcame all kinds of adversity.

I don’t know why I’m so stuck on the overcoming part and its not really like I’m being persecuted, but I just feel so so so out of place. And I long for the comfort and love that Christ can provide if I’d just give Him a chance.

I also was thinking about letting my parents read this…but not if that would bother you…its just that my dad has always been a huge and godly influence in my life and I’d love to see his comments and insight into what we’re reading and saying…but that might be a little weird for you huh? I guess we can talk about it tomorrow!
